RIVETS! Is a story with great historical depth that sings about love, loss, courage and overcoming. In the Kaiser Shipyards of Richmond, CA during World War II, we meet Rosie the Riveter, Martha Mitchell, and her two sisters as they face the challenges of a turbulent time--the ever-changing landscape of family, country and love--while defying powerful currents of racism and sexism. RIVETS! tackles issues of social justice and the need to fight tyranny at home as well as abroad. RIVETS! is set in the middle of the Big Band era and many of the songs from the show are rooted in the popular music of that time.
